I still find it hard to believe how many holidays the French have. Me and my Canadian friend just had to take advantage of the most recent one and so we headed off to explore France’s northern cousin – Belgium. Turns out, I now like beer, I’m still not too keen on chocolate, I can haggle better in Europe than out of it (€4 Christmas jumper BARGAIN) and that I would like to move to Bruges now please. Here’s a few snapshots from the trip.
La Metropole Café.
Most expensive cappucino and gauffre of my life.
The streets of Brussels.
Cute little gift box tins from La Cure Gourmandie.
Manneken Pis statue.
Taking beer very seriously.
Breakfast in our hostel in Bruges.
The streets of Bruges.
The famous bell tower.
Drinking wine, watching the light show and listening to carols back in Brussels again.
4 euros. Bargain. IT HAS A DEER’S FACE ON IT!
Brussels flea market.
And now, home for a week for Christmas!
